Ekaterine Surmava

Ekaterine Surmava She was born in Tbilisi. In 2009 graduated from Vakhtang Chabukiani Ballet Art State School (tutor N. Didebulidze) and joined Tbilisi Z.Paliashvili Opera and Ballet Proffesional State Theatre. Since May 2012, she is ballet company soloist at Tbilisi Z.Paliashvili Opera and Ballet Professional State Theatre.
Leading roles in her repertory include: Odette, the Brides, Big Swan, Pas de trois (SWAN LAKE); The French Doll, Sugar Plum Fairy (NUTCRACKER), Jacinta (LAURENCIA), Variation (DON QUIXOT), The Jockey Dance (FROM SIBERIA TO MOSCOW); Seventh Waltz (CHOPINIANA), Terpsichore (APOLLO MUSAGETE). Apart from that, she has solo performances: СONCERTO BAROCCO, SERENADE, DUO CONCERTANT, MOZARTIANA, WESTERN SYMPHONY (choreography by G.Balanchine), BIZET VARIANTIONS (choreography by A.Ratmansky), SAGALOBELI (choreography by Yuri Possokhov), BIRTHDAY OFFERING and THAIS PAS DE DEUX (choreography by Frederick Ashton), SECOND BEFORE THE GROUND (choreography by Trey McIntyre), SECRET GRADEN (S. Evtimova choreography), FIRST FLASH (choreography by Jorma Elo); PETITE MORT (choreography by Jiri Kylian).

Ms. Surmava participated in company’s tours to the USA, Japan, Italy, Ecuador,China, Egypt, Belarus, Ukraine, Estonia, Azerbaijan, Spain.
