Tengiz Mushkudiani’s star was unveiled in front of the Opera House.

By the initiative of Davit Kintsurashvili, Artistic Director of the Georgian State Opera and Ballet Theatre, a Gala Concert, dedicated to the work of Tengiz Mushkudiani, People’s Artist of Georgia, a legendary singer, and a ceremony unveiling his star was held on July 14, at 19:00.
On that evening, the Deputy Minister of Culture and Monument Protection, Manana Berikashvili awarded Mr.Tengiz Mushkudiani the top prize of the Ministry of Culture and Monument Protection  - Art Guru for his outstanding contribution to the development of the Georgian Art. After the award ceremony Tengiz Mushkudiani’s star was unveiled in front of the Opera House. 
Tengiz Mushkudiani’s former and current students, People’s artists took part in the Gala Concert. Different generation soloists were seen on the stage, among them were Teimuraz Gugushvili, Eldar Getsadze, Liana Kalmakhelidze, Alexander Khomeriki, Gocha Datusani, Sulkhan Gvelesiani, Levan Makaridze, Irina Aleksidze, Makvala Aspanidze, Irakli Kakhidze, Kakhaber Shavidze, Giorgi Motsikulashvili, Levan Tabatadze and Ketevan Kemoklidze.
The gala concert was accompanied by the orchestra of the Georgian State Opera House, while Zaza Azmaiparashvili, Revaz Takidze and George Chichinadze took turns in conducting. Pieces from famous operas were performed, and unique shots were shown depicting Tengiz Mushkhudiani’s opera work, submitted by the National Archive, the event partner to the Opera House.
