The tour to the opera

The Artistic Director of the State Opera House of Georgia Davit Kintsurashvili and the Artistic Director of the Ballet Company Nino Ananiashvili held a press conference on the scheduled tours in the Opera Theatre.
Every Saturday bilingual and thematic tours will be organized in the State Opera House of Georgia, and every Thursday the theatre will welcome schoolchildren from every school of the country. From the next week a guide will show the unique building of the Opera House to the groups of interested people. The visitors will have the opportunity to see the wings, dressing rooms and orchestra pit as well as to attend the rehearsals.
The press conference was also attended by the Minister of Culture and Monument Protection Mikheil Giorgadze, the Minister of Education and Science Tamar Sanikidze, the Head of the Tourism Department Giorgi Chogovadze, the representatives of the Opera administration and Deputy Director of the Opera Museum Eliso Julakidze.
The first tour of the Opera House will take place on Saturday, April 2, both in the Georgian and English languages. The number of interested people should not be less than 7 and not more than twenty; this is a necessary condition for the perfect tour.
Every Thursday will be the day for children, for school tours. The number of schoolchildren should be not be more than thirty. The Theatre has special offers for families and pensioners. For children under six the tour is free.
Besides classical tours there will be thematic ones as well. In particular, balletomanes, the lovers of ballet shoes, operas and prima donnas, those ones interested in the orchestra and conductor may choose Overture and Maestro tours.

The first Georgian language tour will take place in the Opera House at 12:00 on April 2, and the English language tour – at 13:00 on the same day.
