Tariel Tchitchinadze Tariel Tchichinadze’s professional career began when he was still a student, singing at the Tbilisi State Conservatoire Opera Studio productions: Zakaria Paliashvili’s Daisi (Tsangala); Giacomo Puccini’s La Boheme (Colline) Gioachino Rossini’s Il barbiere di Siviglia (Don Basilio), Charles Gounod’s Faust (Méphistophélès).

In 1975-1995 Tariel Tchichinadze was a soloist of the Tbilisi Z. Paliashvili State Opera and Ballet Theatre and within this period he sang 55 roles in 2500 performances. Among them should be mentioned: King Abio (Paliashvili’s Abesalom and Eteri); Makar (Victor Dolidze’s Keto and Kote); Khevisberi (Otar Taktakishvili’s Mindia); Grandfather Tariel (Taktakishvili’s Stealing the Moon); Triphon (Taktakishvili’s The First Love); Shergil (Revaz Laghidze’s Lela); King of mole crickets (Alexandre Bukia’s The Uninvited Guests); Dev (Mary Davitashvili’s Natsarkekia); Ramfis, King of Egypt (Giuseppe Verdi’s Aida); Ferrando (Verdi’s Il Trovatore); Monterone (Verdi’s Rigoletto); Lodovico (Verdi’s Othello); Great Inquisitor (Verdi’s Don Carlos); Faust (Sergei Prokofiev’s The Fairy Angel); Father Benedictine (Prokofiev’s Duenna); Varlaam (Modest Mussorgsky’s Boris Godunov), The Jew (Richard Strauss’s Salome), etc.

In 1995-2005 the singer was a soloist of the Batumi Opera Theatre and took part in the Aspendos Opera Festival (Turkey). Since 2005 Tariel Tchichinadze has been a soloist of the Tbilisi State Opera and Ballet Theatre.

During his career Tariel Tchichinadze toured in Israel, Spain, Italy, Germany, France, Sweden, Malta, Armenia, Estonia, and Russia together with the Tbilisi Opera Theatre. He has collaborated with such famous conductors and directors as: Vakhtang Paliashvili, Didim Mirtskhulava, Odyssey Dimitriadi, Djansugh Kakhidze, Givi and Zaza Azmaiparashvili, Archil Chkhartishvili, Robert Sturua, Giga Lortkipanidze, Gizo Zhordania, Dimitri Alexidze, Mikheil Tumanishvili, etc.
