Nikoloz Lagvilava In 1999-2005 Nikoloz Lagvilava studied at the V. Sarajishvili Tbilisi State Conservatoire vocal faculty under his father, Revaz Lagvilava. In 2005 he received master-classes from the famous German mezzo-soprano Verena Keler in Germany. The same year Lagvilava participated in the 5th International Opera Festival in Laubach (Germany). On 2006-2008 Georgian baritone studied in Milan at La Scala Academy (Italy).

Since 2003 Nikoloz Lagvilava has been a soloist of Z. Paliashvili Tbilisi State Opera and Ballet Theatre.
In 2001 Nikoloz Lagvilava won the European Cultural Foundation Prize in Strasburg, France. In 2003 he was awarded the First Prize at the 3rd Singer’s Competition (Georgia). In 2002-2004 Lagvilava was the holder of Presidential Scholarship.

The singer’s wide repertoire includes Renato (Giuseppe Verdi’s Un Ballo in Maschera), Nabucco (Nabucco), Germont (La Traviata), Amonasro (Aida), Iago (Otello), Don Carlos (La Forza del Destino), Malatesta (Gaetano Donizetti’s Don Pasquale), Gulielmo (Giacomo Puccini’s Le Villi), Sharpless (Madam Butterfly), Scarpia (Tosca), Don Giovanni (Mozart’s Don Giovanni), Don Alfonso (Cosi fan tutte), Figaro (Gioachino Rossini’s Il Barbiere di Siviglia), Aleko (Sergei Rakhmaninov’s Aleko), etc.

Nikoloz Lagvilava’s concert repertoire includes chamber music of Georgian and foreigner composers’.
