Ira Iosebidze

Ira Iosebidze Ira Iosebidze graduated from the Piano and Academic Singing Faculties of the Tbilisi V. Sarajishvili State Conservatoire. Later she studied at the same conservatoire’s MA and postgraduate programs of Academic Singing.

In 2012 she completed the postgraduate studies at the Conservatorio di musica “Giuseppe Verdi” in Milan. Since 2012 she has been a soloist of the Tbilisi Z. Paliashvili State Opera and Ballet Theatre.
During her student years Ira Iosebidze performed parts of Norina (Gaetano Donizetti’s Don Pasquale) and Violetta (Giuseppe Verdi’s La Traviata).

In 2008-2009 she sang Musetta (Giacomo Puccini’s La Boheme) at various theatres and festivals in Milan; among them are Sala Verdi, Teatro Rosetum, Theatro Circolo Volta, Summer Festival La bella estate di  Milano Teatro dell opera di Milano, etc. Her performance was highly acclaimed in the review of the famous Italian Magazine Corriere del Teatro (2009). In Milan the singer also performed as Sophia in Gioachino Rossini’s Il Signor Bruschino (Sala Verdi, 2009); Zerlina in Mozart’s Don Giovanni (Teatro Rosetum, 2009) and Violetta in Verdi’s La traviata (Sala Verdi, 2010). In 2009-2010 she sang at the concerts in Milan, Rome, Pavia, etc.

Ira Iosebidze’s repertoire also includes parts of Eteri (Zakaria Paliashvili’s Abesalom and Eteri), Maro (Zakaria Paliashvili’s Daisi), Oscar (Verdi’s Un ballo in Maschera), and Adina (Donizetti’s L’elisir d’amore).

Ira Iosebidze received a diploma at the 3rd Republic Competition of Georgia and won the Second Prize at the Giulietta Simionato 15th International Competition of Singers (Italy, 2009).
