Alexandre Khomeriki Being a student of the vocal faculty of the Tbilisi State Conservatoire Alexandre Khomeriki has got an engagemant at the Tbilisi Z. Paliashvili State Opera and Ballet Theate. In 1980 he graduated from the Tbilisi State Conservatoire under Prof. G. Gogichadze, in 1981–82 he was an intern at La Scala in Milan, Italy.

Among the most important parts sung by the singer are: Abesalom and Malkhaz (Zakaria Paliashvili’s Abesalom and Eteri and Daisi); Berdo (Revaz Lagidze’s Lela); Lensky and Count Vaudémont (Pyotr Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin and Iolanta); Cavaradossi (Giacomo Puccini’s Tosca); Manrico (Giuseppe Verdi’s Il Trovatore); Radames (Verdi’s Aida); Alfredo (Verdi’s La Traviata); Duke of Mantua (Verdi’s Rigoletto); Othello (Verdi’s Othello), etc.

Since 1993 Alexandre Khomeriki had been an artistic director of Batumi Opera and Ballet Theatre. In 1995 he successfully performed Othello in the production of the Ankara Opera House and in 1998 toured with the Batumi Opera Theatre in Antalia.

Alexandre Khomeriki is a prize-winner of the Tchaikovsky 7th International Competition (Moscow, Russia, 1982). He is the People’s Artist of Georgia (1985). Among his most important awards are: The Shota Rustaveli State Prize and The Memed Abashidze Prize (1995); the Order of Honour, (1998).
