Gia Makharadze Gia Makharadze studied at the Solo Academic Singing faculty of the Tbilisi V. Sarajishvili State Conservatoire, under Professor Gocha Bezhuashvili. In 1997 he was a soloist-intern at the Batumi Opera Theatre. Since 1998 he has been a soloist at the Tbilisi Z. Paliashvili State Opera and Ballet Theatre, where he made his debute as Kote in Victor Dolidze’s opera Keto and Kote.

There are many leading tenor parts in the singer’s repertoire. Among them are Malkhaz (Zakaria Paliashvili’s Daisi), Abesalom (Paliashvili’s Abesalom and Eteri), Macduff (Verdi’s Macbeth); Foresto (Verdi’s Attila); Duke of Mantua (Verdi’s Rigoletto); Riccardo (Verdi’s Un ballo in maschera); Ismaele (Verdi’s Nabucco); Ernesto (Gaetano Donizetti’s Don Pasquale); Almaviva (Gioachino Rossini’s Il Barbiere Di Siviglia). In 2002 Jean Pierre Faber, Luxembourgish conductor, invited him to perform tenor part in Verdi’s Requiem in Passau (Germany). He performed the same part in Tel Aviv Opera Theatre (conducted by Dan Ettinger). In 2004 he was invited to Akhundov Azerbaijan State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater, where he appeared as Almaviva in Il Barbiere Di Siviglia. Gia Makharadze’s repertoire also includes Cantatas by Johann Sebastian Bach, Mozart’s Requiem and Missa Brevis, which he performed at the International Music Festival Autumn Tbilisi. The singer has also given recitals both in Israel and in European countries. Gia Makharadze has sang under the baton of Djansugh Kakhidze, Jean Pierre Faber, Dan Ettinger; Revaz Takidze, Shavleg Shilakadze, Vakhtang Kakhidze, Tamaz Japaridze, Zaza Azmaiparashvili, Gogi Chichinadze, Davit Mukeria, Zaza Kalmakhelidze, Gianluca Marciano.
