Georgian singer Badri Maysuradze was born in Tbilisi on November 13th, 1966. After graduating from Shota Rustaveli Theatre and Film Georgia State University and Vano Sarajishvili Tbilisi State Conservatoire (class of Professor Gocha Bejuashvili) in 1989 he continued studies in Milan and Moscow.
 
In 1989-1990 he did an internship at the Bolshoi Theatre under Zurab Sotkilava.
 
In 1989-1993 he was a soloist at the State Opera House of Georgia, where he made a debut in Mindia - an opera by Otar Taktakishvili.
 
Badri Maysuradze is the winner of multiple worldwide competitions. In 1994 he became the laureate at the Francisco Viñas International Singing Competition in Barcelona and at the International Jussi Bjorling Competition for tenors in Sweden.
 
He started his international career in 1993, singing the role of The Pretender in a production of Boris Godunov at the Opera Royal de Wallonie in Liege. Followed by more than 40 roles in leading world theatres, including: Berlin Deutsche Opera (Aida, Nabucco, Il Trovatore), La Scala, Milan (Mazeppa), Teatro Comunale Florence (Madame Butterfly, La Fanciulla del West ) Teatro Real, Madrid (Aida, Ernani, The Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk), San Carlo Opera House, Naples (The Lady Macbeth), Teatro Massimo, Palermo (Turandot, Aida), Gran Teatre del Liceu, Barcelona (Un Ballo in Maschera), Semperoper, Dresden (Un Ballo in Maschera, Aida, Don Carlos), the Mariinsky Theatre, Petersburg (Aida, Il Tabarro),  Royal Swedish Opera, Stockholm (Otello, Don Carlos, Il Trovatore, Macbeth), Dalhalla Opera Music Festival, Sweden (Tosca, Samson et Dalila), Opéra national de Montpellier (Aida, Otello, Samson et Dalila), Canadian Opera Company (Manon Lescaut, Tosca, Giovanna d'Arco, Madama Butterfly), Opera Australia (Aida, Samson et Dalila, Pagliacci), Puccini Festival, Torre del lago (Medici), Teatro Vittorio Emanuele, Messina (La Fanciulla del West, Il Tabarro), the Bolshoi Theatre, Moscow (Tosca, The Queen of Spades, Un Ballo in Maschera, La Forza del Destino, Aida, Norma, Lucia di Lammermoor, La Traviata, Macbeth), Hungarian State Opera House (Cavalleria Rusticana, Pagliacci, The Queen of Spades, La Forza del Destino),  Israel Philharmonic Orchestra (Aida), Estonian National Opera House (The Queen of Spades, Tosca, Simon Boccanegra), Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre (Aida, Tosca). He has also sung otello part in Copenhagen, Nancy, Lisbon, Malta, Cape Town, Riga.
 
In 2004 Badri Maysuradze took part in the opening ceremony of Teatro alla Scala opera season (conductor Riccardo Muti).
 
During his long-lasting and successful career the singer has worked with number or eminent conductors, such as: Seiji Ozawa, Zubin Mehta, Daniel Oren, Antonio Guadagnino, Marcello Viotti, Maurizio Barbacini, Carlo Rizzi, Arvo Volmer, Alexander Vedernikov, Richard Bradshaw, Maurizio Arena, Garcia Navarro, Maurizio Benini, Giorgio Morandi, Nello Santi, Lawrence Foster, Mstislav Rostropovich, Djansug Kakhidze, Givi Azmaiparashvili, Odysseas Dimitriadis etc.
 
Badri Maysuradze is among the judges of prestigious international competitions such as: Voci Verdiane Busseto, Vincenzo Bellini Bel Canto ContestGalina Vishnevskaya International Opera Singers Competition, Melbourne International Singers Festival, International Competition for Young Opera Singers Riccardo Zandonai, International singing competition Flaviano Labo.
 
Badri Maysuradze is the consultant at Teatro Giuseppe Verdi, Busseto and at the Seoul Arts Center Opera House. He is also the manager of the International Rostropovich Festival and Art Festival (Prague, Umbria).
 
Regularly gives masterclasses in Germany, Italy, France, Canada and Australia.
