The Tbilisi Opera and Ballet State Theatre started a new project - Young Artists Programme. Within the framework of this project, programmes are planned in various leading theatres of the world, aimed at enhancing the skills of young singers, for their continuous education and professional development.
 
The exchange programmes are planned with the following theatres: New York Metropolitan Opera, Lindemann Young Artist Development Programme, the Los Angeles Opera - Placido Domingo-Thornton Young Artist Programme, the Munich Opera House - Bayerische Staatsoper - Opera Studio, Royal Opera House, London - the Jette Parker Young Artists Programme, Opera De Bastille Academy of Paris, Milan Accademia Teatro alla Scala, the Young Artists of the Teatro Regio di Parma, En Concertante Barcelona Academia Internacional de Música,  Youth programme of the  Puccini Festival of Torre del Lago.
 
Within the scope of the project, the first exchange programme was implemented together with the Berlin State Opera (Staatsoper Unter den Linden) in 2017. The International Opera Studio of the Staatsoper Unter den Linden is led by Boris Anifantakis, while the artistic direction was provided by Maestro Daniel Barenboim.
 
The first phase of the project held from October 31 to November 4 and its participants were four singers and a pianist of the International Opera Studio of the Staatsoper Unter den Linden: Slávka Zámečníková (soprano), Clara Corinna Scheurle (Mestosoprano), Andrés Moreno García (Tenor), Adam Kutny (Baritone), and Markus Zugehör (concertmaster – coach) as well as  six interns and a pianist of the Tbilisi Opera and Ballet State Theatre: Irina Sherazadashvili (soprano), Nino Zakaidze (mezzo soprano), Paata Sukhitashvili (tenor), Giorgi Mchedlishvili (baritone), Giorgi Chelidze (bass), Giorgi Tsintsadze (tenor), and Natia Azarashvili (pianist).
 
The first master class held on November 1, 2017 and will be hosted by Concertmaster– Coach Markus Zugehör.
 
On November 2, at 16:00, a joint concert of participants was given in the Grand Hall of the Tbilisi Opera House.  Free admission.
 
On November 3, at 15:00 pm, the Artistic Director of the Opera Theatre Badri Maisuradze gave master classes for young singers participating in the project.
 
Within the framework of the same exchange programme, on June 27, 2018, a joint concert held at Staatsoper Unter den Linden's concert hall  - Apollo-Saal. On June 28, the famous American opera singer Deborah Polaski hosted master classes.
 
The programme of the Tbilisi Opera and Ballet State Theatre and the Berlin Staatsoper Unter den Linden was co-financed by the Goethe-Institut in Georgia.
